Mary Evelyn Hale of Chandler, Oklahoma, was born on June 1, 1925, in Peebles, Ohio, and departed this life on October 8, 2003, at her home in Chandler at the age of 78. Mary Evelyn was the daughter of Orvile Milton and Flossie Creachbaum Eldridge. She was married to Enoch Hale, a member of the Church of the First Born in Agra, Oklahoma, and a homemaker. Her parents, husband, and one daughter preceded Mary Evelyn in death. Survivors include two daughters, Sharon Grant of Midwest City, OK, and Suzanne Helm of Chandler, OK; five sons, Mike Hale of Tulsa, OK, Tim Hale of Stillwater, OK, George Wooden of Chandler, OK, Joe Wooden of Orlando, OK, and Johnny Wooden of Del City, OK; two sisters, Zelma Keefe of Pensacola, FL, and Carolyn Mackey of Vinita, OK; two brothers, Tommy Eldridge of Baxter Springs, KS, and Lincoln Eldridge of Rolla, MO; stepmother, Ruth Eldridge of Joplin, MO; 23 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 10, 2003, at 2:00 PM, at the Church of the First Born in Agra, Oklahoma, with Brother Donny Malloy officiating. Burial will follow in the Parkland Cemetery at Parkland, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service of Chandler, Oklahoma.
