Mary Elizabeth Cheatwood

Mary Elizabeth Cheatwood was born on July 27, 1944, in Okfuskee, Okfuskee County, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Thursday, October 17, 2013, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 69. Mary, the daughter of James Wilburn and Ollie Mildred (Edmondson) Ford, was a resident of Paden. She married James Cheatwood on August 24, 1971, in Prague, Oklahoma. Mary was a member of the First Baptist Church in Paden. Her parents; one son, Tommy Cheatwood; two brothers; and two sisters, preceded Mary in death. Survivors include: her husband of 42 years, James Cheatwood of the home; sons and daughter-in-law, Lester Wayne Montgomery of Tennessee, Nathan Montgomery of California, and Matthew and Jennifer Cheatwood of Paden; daughters, Jo Ann Hallman of Russellville, Alabama, Kathy Cherry of Florida, and Karen Gilliam of Morehead, Kentucky; brother, Larry Ford of Bartlesville; 13 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 21, 2013, at 2:00 PM, at the First Baptist Church in Paden with Bro. Paul Heard officiating. Interment will follow at Micawber Cemetery in Paden. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
