Mary Christine Brezny

Mary Christine Brezny was born on July 16, 1926, in Prague, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Monday, January 3, 2011, in Prague, Oklahoma, at the age of 84. Mary, the daughter of Jerome Stephen and Vera Christine (Studler) Pratka, was a lifelong resident of Prague. She married Edward Wesley Brezny on November 20, 1946 in Prague. He preceded her in death on June 7, 1986. Mary was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church and was a Certified Nurse's Aide at the Prague Hospital for 40 years. Her parents; one brother, Johnny; and one grandson, Gary Don Brezny, also preceded Mary in death. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Edward Joe and Barbara Brezny of Tecumseh; daughter, Shirley Brezny of Prague; brothers and sisters-in-law, Henry and Shirlene Pratka of Prague, Steve and Pam Pratka of Prague, sisters and brothers-in-law, Lillie Bartos of Prague, Agnes Pratka of Prague, Aileen and Vernie Jordan of Prague, Geraldine Harper of Prague, Rosalie and Joe Navrath of Prague; 4 Grandchildren; 4 Great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Bobbie Brezny of Oklahoma City. A Wake Service will be held on Wednesday, January 5, 2011, at 7:00 PM, at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Prague. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, January 6, 2011 at at 10:00 AM at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Prague with Father Price Oswalt officiating. Interment will follow at the Catholic Cemetery in Prague.
