Marvin Ray Rush

Marvin Ray Rush, was born on November 25, 1933, in Abbyville, KS, and departed this life on Tuesday, April 15, 2008, at his home in Davenport, OK, at the age of 74. Marvin was the son of Ralph and Marjorie Nee McIver Rush. He married Janice Coots on February 5, 1955, in Melrose, MA. Marvin served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked as a Telephone Repairman for Central Oklahoma Telephone Company for many years. Marvin was a member of the American Legion post in Chandler. His parents preceded Marvin in death. Survivors include, Wife, Janice of the home, Sons, John Rush of Reno, NV, Jeff Rush of Stroud, OK, Daughters, Barbara Sanders of Millbrook, AL, Kristi Rush of Walnut Ridge, AR, Brothers, Don Rush of Pittsburgh, PA Ed Rush of Abbyville, KS, Sisters, Ellen Mitzner of Abbyville, KS, Helen Havercroft of Hutchinson, KS, Vivian Ogburn of Hutchson, KS, Marian Rank of Abbyville, KS, Buelah Vanhoose of Abbyville, KS, 13 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, Other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 18, 2008, 10:00 A.M., at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Chandler, OK, with Rev. Miles Knutson officiating. Interment will follow at Abbyville Cemetery, Abbyville, KS. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.
