Marvin Lee Cartmill

Marvin Lee Cartmill, age 68, of Harrah, OK, was born on April 1, 1947, in Oklahoma City, OK. He was the son of Tom & Mary (Fields) Cartmill. He left this life on Saturday, April 11, 2015, in Oklahoma City, OK. Marvin received the purple heart while proudly serving in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam Era. He attended Putnam Heights, Harding High School and UCO. Marvin worked in the service department of the House of Kawasaki in Oklahoma City. He married Janet Dunn on June 14, 2010, in Harrah, OK. Marvin enjoyed carpentry, boating with any kind of watercraft, four wheeling, cooking out at the lake and loved to fish. He was an OU fan and an avid sports fan of all sports. He was preceded in death by his father. Survivors include hiswife, Janet Cartmill, Harrah, OK; daughter, Renelle Connor, McLoud, OK; mother, Mary Cartmill, Bethany, OK; sister, Linda Evans, Beaverton, OR; nephews, Les Evans, Seattle, WA, Zane Evans, Seattle, WA and many other relatives and friends. Memorial services will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, April 18, 2015, at the Asa Smith Memorial Chapel, Harrah, OK. Interment will be at a later date. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
