Marvin Clarence Reece

Marvin Clarence Reece was born on May 18, 1920, in Hooker, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Saturday, December 25, 2010, in Prague, Oklahoma, at the age of 90. Marvin, the son of Everett Clarence and Olinda (Herbel) Reece, was a resident of Hooker for most of his life. He married Ina Ione Ansley in Hooker, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on March 26, 1994. Marvin proudly served his country overseas in the army during World War II. He worked as a plant engineer for a gas pipeline company, and was a farmer and rancher all of his life. He lived in Hooker until 2000 when he moved to Prague. He was a resident of Prague at the time of his death and was a member of the Methodist Church. Marvin was also preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Marvin Lee and Beth Ann Reece of Garden City, ID; daughters and son-in-law, Meredith and George Hand of Prague, Janell Reece of Woodward, OK; brother, Junior Reece; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mella and Don Miller of Cypress, CA, Karen and Larry Robinson of Garden City, KS; 5 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at 4:00 PM, at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Prague with Rev. Kara Broyles officiating. Interment will follow on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Hooker City Cemetery in Hooker, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
