Marshall Eric Yoakum

Marshall Yoakum, 56, of Shawnee, Oklahoma, passed away on May 19, 2019 in Meeker, Oklahoma. Marshall was born on April 30, 1963 in Fort Sill, Oklahoma to JT and Charlotte Yoakum. He graduated in 1981 from Del City High School. After high school, Marshall proudly served 6 years in the Army Airborne and was a veteran of Desert Storm. After serving our country, he worked at AT&T for 25 years. Marshall is survived by his mother and step-father, Charlotte and Gene Blansett; his children, whom he loved very much, Andrew, Lauren, Emily, Joshua and Jacob; his sister Kelli Fleener and her children Katie and Derek; step-brothers, David Blansett and Danny Blansett; step-sister, Connie Minnich; and his aunt Linda Moody; and uncle and aunt, Dale and Mollie Herndon; and numerous other family and friends. Marshall was preceded in death by his grandparents Jim and Cleone Herndon and his beloved great-grandma, Ethel Hunt. Marshall will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Graveside services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at Garden Grove Cemetery in Prague, Oklahoma.
