Marissa Katie Mayfield

Marissa Katie Mayfield was born on August 18, 1991, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Wednesday, September 26, 2007, in Paden, Oklahoma, at the age of 16. Marissa, the daughter of Jerry Lee and Glenda Faye Brown Mayfield, was a resident of Prague. She was a junior at Paden High School where she was a member of FCCLA, girl''s basketball manager, and a member of the softball team. Her grandparents, O.H. Curley and Grace Mayfield, and uncle, Sherdel Mayfield, preceded Marissa in death. Survivors include: mother, Glenda Mayfield of Prague, OK; father, Jerry Mayfield of Paden, OK; brother and sister-in-law, Marty and Rachel Mayfield of Prague, OK; sisters and brothers-in-law, Marla and Troy Lester of Elkton, VA, Melaina Cooper of Edmond, OK, Misti and Darin Martin of Paden, OK, and Miranda Mayfield of Prague, OK; half-brother and his wife, Michael and Cheryl Hessman of Harrah, OK; grandparents, Morris and Katie Brown of Paden, OK; nieces and nephews, Abbie, Rilee, and Skylar Mayfield, Tristan, Victoria, and Nate Lester, Reagan and Audrey Cooper, and Tanner and Sydney. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 1, 2007 at 2:00, at the First Baptist Church in Prague with Rev. Aaron Brock, Anthony Lester, and Jonathan Brock officiating. Interment will follow at the Paden Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague. Memorials may be made at any BancFirst in memory of Marissa, Dustin and Carmalica.
