Marion Franklin Wood

Marion F. Wood was born on September 1, 1934, in McGee, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Tuesday, November 13, 2007, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, at the age of 73. Marion, the son of Herbert Hadley and Rachel Leah Lairson Wood, was a resident of Prague. He served his country in the United States Navy. Marion married Linda Kay Page on June 14, 1974 in Phoenix, Arizona. They moved to Prague in 1987 from Phoenix, AZ. She preceded him in death on June 12, 2003. He was retired from Allied Signal and was a member of Garden Grove Baptist Church. His parents also preceded Marion in death. Survivors include daughters, Dorla Norton of Cottonwood, AZ, Cora and Thomas Tye of Rimrock, AZ; sons, Bradley and Christine Johnson of Glendale, AZ, Sean Johnson of Burbank, CA; brothers, Bernie Wood of Mesa, AZ, C. Mack and Karan Wood of Surprise, AZ; 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be at Parks Brothers Funeral Home in Prague beginning at 2:00 PM on Sunday, November 18, 2007 until 9:00 PM . A funeral services will be held on Monday, November 19, 2007 at 10:00 AM, at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Prague with Rev. Charlie Clem officiating. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
