Marion Curtis Barrett was born in Davenport, Oklahoma on July 17, 1941 and departed this life in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on Wednesday December 2, 2009 at the age of 68 years. Marion was the son of Floyd Raymond and Ludie (Gilreath) Barrett. Marion was a resident of Stroud most of his life. He was in the United States Army were he served in the Vietnam War. Marion married Donna Stinson in Kendrick, Oklahoma on August 11, 1962. He was a member of the Stroud Christian Church in Stroud, Oklahoma, American Legion Post 257 in Stroud, Oklahoma and was a retired police officer. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 son, 1 daughter, 3 brothers, and 2 sisters. Survivors include, Wife, Donna of the home, One Son, Curtis Leon Barrett of Ft. Worth, TX, One Daughter & Son in Law, Tammie Lynn and Chris Cupp of Drumright, OK, Four Brothers, Forrest Barrett of Stroud, OK, Howard Barrett of Eufaula, OK, Earl Barrett of Eufaula, OK, Alva Barrett of Little, OK, Two Sisters, Vearl Sutter Sapulpa, Ok, Wanda Crauthers of Cushing, OK, Two Grandchildren, Cody Cupp and Chris Jr. Cupp of Drumright, OK, Others relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held at the Stroud Christian Church in Stroud, Oklahoma on Friday, December 4, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Will Fine and Rev. Mike Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in the Kendrick Cemetery, Kendrick, Oklahoma under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud, OK.
