Marion Calven Bales, Jr was born on April 30, 1962 in Chandler, Oklahoma and departed this life on October 31, 2020 in Davenport, Oklahoma at the age of 58. Calven was born to Marion Calven Bales, Sr. and Freda Mae (Collins) Bales. Calven married Cheryl Lynn Morton on June 2, 2011. He was employed with the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority for the last 13 years. He was a member of the Davenport First Baptist and also a member of the Davenport Fair Board. Calven loved his hunting and fishing and more than anything loved being with his family. Calven is preceded in death by his grandparents A.B. and Mary Collins and Calven and Mary Bales. Survivors include wife, Cheryl Bales of Davenport, Oklahoma; children Andrew Barron of Davenport, Jeff Barron and wife Phoebe of OKC, Tiffany Robertson and husband Sam of Henryetta, Jessica Howard and husband Chris of Schulter, Jay Barron of Henryetta and Leslie Bales and husband John of Chandler; grandchildren Camden Berryhill, Biship Berryhill, Vivi Kate Barron, Charlie Barron, Zoey Hadley, Mason Howard, Ansley Spencer, Brinden Spencer; parents Marion and Freda Bales of Davenport; brothers Gene Bales and wife Cristy of Davenport, Dennis Bales and wife Sherry of Davenport, sister Tamela Wunderlich and husband Keith of Cambridge, KS; brother and sister-in-law Brad and Pam Pippin of Davenport and mother-in law Linda Morton of Morgantown, WV; nieces and nephews Raegan Pippin, Michael Wunderlich, Gunar Wunderlich, Collin Bales, Ashlyn Bales, Marissa Bales, Kyle Bales, and Cody Bales; and many other extended family and friends. Calven was greatly loved and will be missed by all who knew him. Funeral Service for Calven will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, November 5, 2020 at First Baptist Church in Davenport, Oklahoma with Pastor Mike Mitchell and Keith Wunderlich officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Greenwood in Kendrick, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud, OK.
