Marilyn Elaine Sinclair

September 27, 1947 — April 2, 2020

Marilyn Elaine Sinclair passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2020 in Lubbock, Texas after a brief illness not related to COVID-19. Marilyn was born September 27, 1947 in Stroud, Oklahoma to Troy Buck Hollon and Willa Marguerite Hollon. She was preceded in death by both of her parents and an infant sister, Linda Yvonne Hollon. She graduated from Stroud High School and then moved to Andrews with her parents. Marilyn married Gary Lee Sinclair in Andrews on April 30, 1966. They had 3 children, Kellye Lynne, Gary Todd and Stephen Andrew. Their marriage ended in 1979 and she moved to Lovington, New Mexico and began working at Lea County Electric Co-op as a date entry clerk and then as an accounts payable clerk. At the time of her retirement, Marilyn was bookkeeper, a position she held for 23 years. She retired from Lea County Electric in 2009 after more than 29 years of service. She and her mother moved to Andrews soon after her retirement. She was a member of the Andrews Church of Christ. Marilyn was a generous and loving person. She devoted her life to her 3 children and later caring for her elderly mother. She loved Jesus. Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Kellye Treadwell and husband Dale of Lubbock, sons, Todd Sinclair and wife Dee Dee of Abilene and Stephen Sinclair of Clayton, New Mexico, brother, Larry Hollon and wife Sharon of Nashville, Tennessee and Rick Hollon and wife Sally of Brownwood, Texas, 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren The space she leaves behind in our hearts is too large to fill. We will forever miss her.
