Marie Gladys Stewart

Marie Gladys Stewart was born on February 12, 1932, in Prague, and departed this life on Thursday, October 27, 2011, in Prague, Oklahoma, at the age of 79. Marie, the daughter of James Leroy and Wahneta Gladys (Rattan) McDaniel, was a resident of Prague. She graduated from Meeker High School with the class of 1950. She married Alfred Eugene 'Gene' Stewart on July 15, 1951 in Prague. He preceded her in death on August 23, 2005. Marie was a homemaker and a member of Faith Bible Church. Her parents; one son, Randy; one brother; and two sisters also preceded Marie in death. Survivors include, son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Linda Stewart of Meeker; daughters and sons-in-law, Teresa Stewart of Prague, Donna and Jim Laxton of Prague; brothers and sisters-in-law, Eldon and Thelma McDaniel of Harrah, Clyde and Betty McDaniel of Meeker; sisters and brother-in-law, Neoma Goble of Shawnee, Delores and Dick Kent of Shawnee; 7 Grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 31, 2011 at 2:00 PM, at Gable Cemetery in Meeker with Pastor Scott Smith officiating.
