Marie G. Wilkerson

Meeker resident, Marie G. Wilkerson was born in Denver, Colorado on June 16, 1925, and departed this life in Meeker on March 15, 2014, at the age of 88. Marie, the daughter of Mike Guida and Beatrice Opal (Baggerly) and Robert Smith was a resident of Meeker. She married W. E. “Bill” Wilkerson on June 25, 1944, in Oklahoma City, and he preceded her in death on August 9, 1999. Marie was a homemaker and member of the First Christian Church of Meeker. She was also preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include: brothers-in-law, Robert C. “Raz” and Louise Wilkerson of Meeker, Jerry and Judy Wilkerson of Meeker and Jimmie G. and Linda Wilkerson of Bell Plaines, Kansas; sisters-in-law, Bobbie Bowen and Leota Ward of Meeker; several nieces and a host of other relatives and friends. Viewing and visitation will be at Parks Brothers Meeker Funeral Chapel from 4:00 PM Sunday until 9:00 AM Tuesday. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday morning at New Hope Cemetery in Meeker with Bro. Joe Jones officiating. Active pallbearers will be Mark Wilkerson, Leon Wilkerson, Johnny Kimbley, Alvin Ward, Adam Wilkerson and Fred Wilkerson. Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Bowen and Jimmy Bowen.
