Marian M. Murray

Marian Myrtle Murray was born March 28th, 1925 in Chicago, Illinois, to her parents, Frank and Myrtle Huisinga ? who both preceded her in death. In 1942 she met a handsome member of the Army Air Corp, Raymond K. Murray. They fell in love and were married on October 21, 1943. Their marriage lasted for 63 and one-half years until her death on April 30, 2007. Raymond survives her and currently resides at Crystal Place in Oklahoma City. She was the proud mother of five children ? Raymond King Murray, Jr., who lives with his wife Mona Carol in Baltimore, Maryland, David James Murray, who preceded her in death, Frank Randall Murray, who also preceded her in death, JoAnn Marie Lara, who resides in Oklahoma City with her husband, Ray Lara and Julie Marlene Murray, who also resides in Oklahoma City. Through the years her children presented to her thirteen grandchildren ? Ray Murray III, Brian Murray, Brent Murray, Tammy Ford, Kelly Smith, Jennifer Murray, Randall Murray, Christa Uhland, Maria Kroeker, Ramona Falkner, Christina Lara, Heather McPherson and Jaclyn Rupp. As well as a grandmother, she was a very proud great grandmother of twenty-two great grandchildren. Before retirement Marian worked 16 years for the State of Oklahoma and retired as a State employee. She and her husband, Ray, lived in Harrah, Oklahoma for 36 years. They were both faithful members of the Church of Christ in Harrah during those years. For the last seven plus years she resided at Crystal Place on Southwest 79th Street in Oklahoma City. The family will receive friends from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm Thursday, May 3, 2007 at Smith-Parks Funeral Service, Harrah, OK. They will also receive friends from 9:00 am to 9:45 am at the Harrah Church of Christ prior to the service. Following her funeral service at 10:00 am on May 4, 2007, at the Harrah Church of Christ, she will be interred at Memory Lane Cemetery in Harrah, next to her two sons, David and Frank. Mr. Raymond Murray, Jr. will officiate. Services are under the direction of Smith-Parks Funeral Service, Harrah, OK.
