Margie Maxine Malone

Margie Maxine Malone was born on March 4, 1916 in Oklahoma City to James Arthur and Maude Mayo Malone. Margie attended grade school at the Oklahoma City church school and graduated from Central High School in 1934. She attended and graduated from the Oklahoma City Business College. For several years Margie worked for Baker Construction Company in Oklahoma City. She worked for the Oklahoma Conference of Seventh-Day Adventist from 1946 to 1959; Central California Conference from November 1959 to December 1975. Margie was called to work again for the Oklahoma Conference in January 1976 and remained at the main office until 1982 and then worked at the Summit Ridge office for three years before retiring. Margie moved to Summit Ridge in 1979. She served as church treasurer and in charge of decorating for several years. She started the Retirees Association at Summit Ridge. As long as her health permitted, Margie maintained all the flower beds at Summit Ridge. Margie was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Phenice Loftin and Bernice Malone, brother, Glenn Malone and adopted foster daughter, Kathy Malone. She is survived by two nieces, Jeanne Strickland of Georgia and Virginia Birth of Mississippi, who used to live at Summit Ridge, and a cousin, Thelma Routon of Oklahoma City. She is also survived by many great nieces and nephews including Jonathan Robertson and family of Harrah, Oklahoma. Services will be at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, July 28, 2010, at Summit Ridge Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Harrah, OK, with Pastor Bill Norman officiating. Interment to follow at Rose Hill Burial Park, Oklahoma City, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
