Faye Richardson was born Margie Faye Phillips to Samuel and Ruth Phillips April 1, 1930 in Calumet, Oklahoma as the 10th of 12 children. Faye went home to Heaven November 6, 2011. Faye excelled in basketball at Midwest City High before marrying Roy Oliver Richardson July 30, 1948. They traveled throughout the US for Roy’s Air Force career before settling in Choctaw where Roy worked at Tinker Air Force Base. Faye was a career homemaker and PTA leader at their 10 acre home. While raising their three children, Faye was a leader at WMU and GA’s at Nicoma Park Baptist Church. In 1963 Faye and Roy moved to a 160 acre farm in Prague. Throughout her life Faye was a gifted singer, as well as renowned local painter in oils. She was one of founding members of the Prague Art Guild as well as Chairwoman of the Prague Park Gazebo Project.. Faye was a member of the First Baptist Church Prague from the time of her residence there. Her parents, husband, three brothers, and four sisters preceded Faye in death. All family and friends miss her. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Roy Stephen 'Steve' and Darlene Richardson of Prague; daughters and son-in-law, Diane Kay and Richard Griesel of Pawnee, Olivia Ruth Richardson of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; sisters, Grace Malear of Oklahoma City, Lucille Massey of Granite, Ruth Power of El Reno, Pat Wilmoth of Oklahoma City; grandchildren, Becky and Rick Beagle of Pawnee, Cindy Griesel of Enid, Lt. Justin and Amanda Richardson of Gulfport, MS, Douglas and Jaylynn Richardson of Midwest City, Sarah and Jeff Berger of Fitzhugh; great-grandchildren: Nathan Beagle, Callie Beagle, Addison Richardson, Cole Richardson, Jasmine Richardson, Burke Richardson; special friend, Al Boydston; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends. The Richardson family will receive friends at Parks Brothers Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 8, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at 2:00 PM, at the First Baptist Church in Prague with Bro. Tim Emmons and Rev. Mike Haines officiating. Interment will follow at the Prague Cemetery in Prague.
