Margaret Irene Palmer

Margaret 'Marge' Irene Palmer, Newalla, OK, age 77, was born on February 20, 1931, in Mason City, Iowa. She was the daughter of Chester John & Mary Marie Shaffer Delle. She left this life on January 18, 2009, at the Baptist Retirement Center in Oklahoma City, OK. Marge retired from the Oil and Gas Co, and as a data input operator for Boatmans Bank. She has lived in the Newalla area since 1971. She was a member of Countryside Baptist Church, was active in the Oklahoma Democratic Party and enjoyed gardening. Marge was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Henry Palmer, great-granddaughter, Kassidy Brynn Stoops, two brothers and one sister. She is survived by two sons, Wesley Tuttle of Montrose, CO, Martin Tuttle of Albert Lea, MN; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Laura and Larry Biggs of Newalla, OK, Nancy & Jan Stillwell of Moore, OK, Nancy Ervin & Ken Garrett of Oklahoma City, OK, and Mary and Scott Elder Oklahoma City, OK; two brothers, Bernerd Delle of Tyler, TX and Robert Delle of Bigley, MN; one sister, Betty Edwards, Sheperdtown, VA; 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, January 22, 2009, at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery in Newalla, OK, with Rev. Larry Chapman officiating. Services are under the direction of Smith-Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
