Margaret Elizabeth Butler

Margaret Elizabeth O''Dell Butler, age 87, of Harrah, OK, was born on September 24, 1921, in Excelsior Springs, Missouri. She was the daughter of Siamon Ethbert O''Dell & Cathern Melinda Jane Sharp O''Dell. Margaret left this life on January 25, 2009, in Norman, OK. Margaret received an 8th grade education in Excelsior Springs. She married Thomas Creed Butler on April 8, 1940 in Excelsior Springs, Missouri. Margaret was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, loved flowers and her grandkids and great-grandkids. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; her husband and two sisters, LaVerne Crowley and Irene Briggs. Survivors include 2 daughters, Pat Cox, Blanchard, OK, Vera Davis, Hot Springs, AR; 2 grandsons, Chris Hamilton, Blanchard, OK, Zak Cox, Moore, OK; 3 great-grandchildren, Thomas Hamilton, Blanchard, OK, Lundyn & Creed Cox, Moore, OK and many other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, January, 31, 2009, at Memory Lane Cemetery, Harrah, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
