Margaret Belle (Sibert) Way, a long-time resident of Prague, Oklahoma, departed this life on August 21, 2018 in Norman, Oklahoma at the age of 94. She was born on June 24, 1924 in Fountain Green, Illinois to John Henry and Emma (Kleckner) Sibert. At the age of 12, her mother died, and Margaret moved to Yoder, Wyoming to live with her grandparents, Guy and Maggie Sibert. While a high school student, Margaret worked for Bob and Hazel Cottier in Torrington, Wyoming during the summers and holidays. Following graduation from high school, she moved to Cheyenne, Wyoming, where she met Ernest Pershing Way. They were married on March 4, 1944 at Ft. Francis E. Warren in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Margaret and Ernest and son, Robert returned to the family farm in Prague, Oklahoma in 1947. Margaret was a homemaker on the family farm, which included working in the hay field, checking cattle, fixing fence, canning vegetables, working in the garden, taking care of the children, sewing, needlecrafts and fixing meals for everyone. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Madge; granddaughter, Lisa Stubsten and Ernest, her beloved husband of 62 years. Survivors include sons, Robert E. Way and wife Joni of Dallas, Texas and Richard A. Way of Norman; daughters, Deborah S. Stubsten and husband Mark of Fairview and Sharon L. Burns and husband George of Vici and a host of grandsons, granddaughters, great grandsons, great granddaughters, nieces and nephews. Memorials can be made in Margaret Way’s honor to the Prague United Methodist Church. Funeral services are scheduled for August 27, 2018 at 2PM at the Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Prague with Reverend Sharon Capron officiating. Interment will follow at Prague Cemetery.
