Maranell Adams

Maranell Adams was born on January 8, 1931, in Meeker, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Sunday, June 10, 2007, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, at the age of 76. Maranell, the daughter of Noble William and Nellie Lee Harris Smith, was a resident of Meeker. She married Ford Hiawatha Adams on December 10, 1946, in Kansas. Maranell retired from Tinker Air Force Base where she worked as a civilian tool and parts attendant. She was a member of the Meeker Missionary Baptist Church. Her parents; one sister, Jo Lamb;two brothers, Paul Smith and Ronnie Smith; and one grandson, Vance Jarvis, preceded Maranell in death. Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Ford Adams of the home; son, David Adams of Meeker, daughters and son-in-law, Judy Weidenmaier of Moore, Debi Jarvis of Meeker, Tracie and Ross Harrison of Choctaw; grandchildren, Robin, Adam, Aaron, Mike, Jessie, and Noble; and great-grandchild, Christian. Viewing and visitation will be at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Meeker on Tuesday, June 12, 2007, from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
