Mamie Jane Harvey

Mamie Jane Davis Harvey was born on November 27, 1916, in Prague, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Saturday, September 13, 2008, in Del City, Oklahoma, at the age of 91. Mamie, the daughter of Minnie California McHan and James Daniel Davis, was a resident of Del City. She married Marion Eugene Harvey in Ponca City on May 11, 1942. Mamie received her Bachelors Degree at Chickasha Teachers College. She worked as an elementary teacher all of her life. She loved to garden, travel, playing the piano, avid reader, watching the humming birds and being with grandchildren and friends. Her parents, one sister and two brothers preceded Mamie in death. Survivors include husband, Marion Eugene Harvey of the home; daughter, Jimmie Schardein of Blanchard; grandson and grand daughter-in- law, Jeff and Tina Schardein of Blanchard; great grandchildren, Jeremy Schardein of Blanchard, Calli Schardein of Blanchard; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 16, 2008 at 10:00 AM, at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Prague with Pastor Danny Daniels officiating. Interment will follow at Gable Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
