Mackie Hargis

Edna Maxine "Mackie" Hargis, Chandler, Oklahoma, resident was born August 25, 1931, in Claremore, Oklahoma. She departed this life June 13, 2019, in Chandler, at the age of 87 years. Mackie was the daughter of Jesse and Maude (Marlin) Casey. She attended school in Claremore. Mackie married Robert Gardner, after his passing in 1971, she then married Kenneth Hargis. They moved to Chandler in 1997. Mackie was a member of the Chandler First Baptist Church. She enjoyed painting, cooking, traveling, arts and craft, and spending time with her family, she will be greatly missed. Her parents; husbands, Robert Gardner and Kenneth Hargis; great-grandson, Levi Heistand, and two brothers, Joe and Billy Casey preceded Mackie in death. Survivors include, two sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Darlene Gardner, of Hartford City, Indiana, Kirby and Susan Gardner of Chandler; one sister and brother-in-law, Jeanne and Gene Mohon of Claremore, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Robert and Brooke Gardner of Hartford, Kelli and Ryan Heistand of Hartford, Canaan and Shannon Gardner of Chandler, Jeremy and Tiffany Gardner of Oklahoma City, Nathan and Ashley Gardner of Chandler, Benjamin Gardner of Oklahoma City, Hannah and Derik Melson of Chandler; sixteen great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
