Mabel Blanch Dervin

Mabel Dervin, Stroud, Oklahoma, was born on August 16, 1913, in Jonesboro, Arkansas, and departed this life on Wednesday, October 23, 2003, in Chandler, Oklahoma, at the age of 90. Mabel was the daughter of Edward Grover and Bessie Trammell Gamble. She worked many years as a waitress and was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Stroud. Her parents, husband, one son, two brothers, two sisters, three grandsons, one granddaughter, and two great-grandsons preceded Mabel in death. She is survived by two sons and daughters in law, Jimmy and Shirley Dervin of Stroud, OK, Nolen and Lucille Dervin of Sapulpa, OK; three daughters and sons-in-law, Loma and Junior Morton of Sapulpa, OK, Linda and Clyde Berry of Hot Springs, AR, Hazel and Charles McGuire of Drumright, OK; sister-in-law Elaine Gamble of Alustee, OK; 25 grandchildren; 57 great-grandchildren; and 51 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be Saturday, October 25, 2003, 10:00 AM, at the First Assembly of God Church in Stroud, OK, with Rev. Don Wilburn officiating. Burial will follow at the Stroud Cemetery in Stroud, OK. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service, Stroud, OK.
