Luman Dean Wintz

March 16, 1930 — September 13, 2015

Luman Dean Wintz was born is Cushing, OK on March 16, 1930 and departed this life in Collinsville, OK on Sunday, September 13, 2015 at the age of 85 years. He was the son of Ira and Serena (Brewer) Wintz. He was a resident of Stroud since 1990. He was in the United States Army where he served in the 45 Infantry during the Korean Conflict. He retired from Rockwell in Tulsa after Twenty Six & half years. He married Betty Titus in Chandler, Oklahoma on October 18, 1952. She preceded him in death on October 26, 1989. He was also preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister. Survivors include, one daughter, Brenda Parrish of Collinsville, two brothers & sister in laws, Richard & Geneva Wintz of Stroud, Carl & Debbie Wintz of Broken Arrow, three sisters & brother in laws, Treva & Kenneth Gooch of Stroud, Wanda & Roy Gilman of Stroud, and Gayle & Jimmy Keene of Chandler, three grandchildren, Greg Parrish, Megan Bumpus and Matthew Parrish, Six Great grandchildren, special friend, Mildred Williams of Stroud, other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, September 16, 2015 with Scott Wintz officiating. Burial will be in the Stroud Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud.
