Lula Mae Grissom, Harrah, OK, age 69, was born on September 11, 1942, in Flat Rock Alabama. She was the daughter of James Calvin & Martha Catherine (O'Dell) Young. She left this life on Friday, May 11, 2012, in Midwest City, OK. Lula and Allen Ray Grissom were married on December 12, 1958, in Scottsdale, Arizona. She was a seamstress at Century Martial Arts, Midwest City, OK. She was also self-employed as a quilter. Lula was a member of the Oklahoma Bluegrass Club in Midwest City, OK. She loved teaching quilting classes and spending time at Sew Awesome in Harrah. Lula was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, 2 sisters and one grandchild, Jaimie Grissom. She is survived by her husband, Allen R. Grissom, Harrah, OK; son & daughter-in-law, James & Wendy Grissom, Yukon, OK; daughter, Juanita Leggett, Harrah, OK; 3 grandchildren, Jason Leggett, Kristy Grissom, Wesley Grissom; 3 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM, Monday, May 14, 2012, at Jamison Cemetery, McLoud, OK with Rev. LaDonna Grissom officiating. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
