Louie Everett Reedy

Louie Everett Reedy of Agra, Oklahoma, passed away in his home on April 15, 2020, at the age of 84. Louie Everett Reedy was born on October 21, 1935, in Tryon, Oklahoma. He was the son of Melvin E. and Gusta Ann (Hale) Reedy. He grew up in Parkland, attending grade school in Parkland until the eighth grade. He attended high school in Agra, graduating in 1955. He entered the United States National Guard in October 1954, serving until 1956. He then entered into the United States Army, serving until 1958. Louie married Nancy Jo DeJarnette in Chandler, Oklahoma on July 25, 1957 and they made their home in Cushing. He began working in the oil fields and later for the refineries in Cushing. He then began his career as a union carpenter in Oklahoma City. In 1965 Louie and Nancy moved to Agra, Oklahoma. He loved wood working, going to the coffee shop, joke telling and loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. He was a member of the Agra Church of the First Born and the Chandler American Legion Post #64. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his big brother, Melvin Reedy Jr. He was survived by his wife, Nancy Reedy of Agra; one daughter, Lisa Ann Hubbard and husband Chris of Agra; two sons, Shawn Eric Reedy of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Scott Louis Reedy and wife Amanda (Roe) Reedy of Agra; his grandchildren: Aaron Hubbard and wife Robbie, Ryan Hubbard, Lauren Hearn and husband Austin, Matthew Reedy, Kaitlyn Reedy, and Zachary Reedy, five great grandchildren: Brayden, Brynlee, and Brenna Hubbard, Rayne and Alice Hearn; one sister, Lorene Carmichael and husband Hubert of Enid, Oklahoma; one brother, Billy Reedy and wife Wilda of Agra, one sister-in-law Billie Jean Reedy of Chandler and his best friend, Vernon Zink and wife Claudia of Agra. A private graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2020 at the Osage Cemetery in Agra, Oklahoma. Online condolences and memories can be shared at www.ParksBrothers.Net.
