Lorraine Stone

Lorraine Stone was born on June 29, 1924 in Paden, OK, and departed this life on Tuesday, June 28, 2005, in Henryetta, OK, at the age of 80. Lorraine, the daughter of Christopher Henry and Mabel Jukes Shero, had been a resident of the Paden and Prague area most of her life. She had made her home in Henryetta for the past 4 years. She married Ralph Cecil Stone on February 20, 1946 in Okemah. He preceded Lorraine in death on April 2, 1984. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one granddaughter. Lorraine had been life-long member of the Methodist Church and was a member of the Prague United Methodist Church at the time of her death. She was a devoted homemaker and a well-published author. She was a member of the Prague Author and Writers Association PAWS and had volunteered many hours of service to the Prague Public Library. Survivors include one son & daughter in law, Paul and Janie Stone, Paden; daughter, Patricia Clifton, Orlando, FL; sister, Iris Smith, Henryetta; brother-in-law and his wife, Gene & Maxine Stone, Porterville, CA; niece, Sharon Sala, Henryetta; 10 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
