Lorene Springer Jenkins was born in Seminole County, Oklahoma, on January 31, 1925, and went to be with Jesus on September 4, 2007, in Midwest City, Oklahoma, at the age of 82 years. Lorene was the daughter of Benjamin Franklin Springer and Maud States Springer. She attended Garden Grove and Centerview High Schools and graduated from the St. Anthony School of Nursing in February 1948. She retired from Tinker Air Force Base in September 1982 after working 28 years as an RN Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. She was an active member of Country Estates Baptist Church for over 50 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, and one brother. Survivors include:Daughter and son-in-law:Debbie and Jim Trammell of Midwest City; son:Michael A. Jenkins of Edmond; A special niece whom she considered her own:Linda Morphis and her husband Larry of Midwest City; sisters and brother-in-law:Alma Jean Artis of Midwest City & Cora Lee and Gregg Kolb of Lancaster, PA; brother:Carl Springer of Prague; numerous nieces, nephews, and many wonderful friends. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 7, 2007 at 10:00 A.M., at Country Estates Baptist Church, 1000 S. Midwest Blvd., Midwest City, OK, with Dr. Bruce Dane officiating. Interment will follow at Garden Grove Cemetery in Prague, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
