Lorene Maples-Hesser

Ida Lorene Maples-Hesser, long-time Chandler, Oklahoma, resident was born October 2, 1919, in Chandler, and departed this life March 20, 2017, in Edmond, Oklahoma, at the age of 97 years. Lorene was the daughter of Floyd Otis and Rhoda Mae (Smith) Brewer. She graduated from Shawnee High School in 1937. Lorene married Minyard Maples, after he passed away she then married James Hesser. Lorene worked in retail sales for many years, and she was a long-time member of the Chandler Southern Baptist Church. Her parents, husbands, four brothers, and two sisters, preceded Lorene in death. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and Bob Tipton of Edmond, Oklahoma; one step daughter and spouse, Patty and Junior Herring of Cushing, Oklahoma; one sister, Shirley Abbath of California; three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 25, 2017, at Chandler Southern Baptist Church with Rev. Keith Henley officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Park Cemetery in Chandler. Arrangements are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler, Oklahoma.
