Lorene Fay (Holaday) Jilge was born on December 12, 1916, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Wednesday, July 1, 2009, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 92. Lorene, the daughter of David Allen and Olive Mae (Carlisle) Holaday, was a resident of Prague. She married Otto Anton Jilge on May 19, 1938 at South Lee Methodist Church in Oklahoma City. He preceded her in death in August of 1986. Lorene retired from FAA at Will Rogers after 20 years of service. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and was a co-founder of Prague Art Guild, where she served as Secretary/ Treasurer and Chairman of the Kolache Festival Arts and Crafts Show. Lorene was also instrumental in the Heartland Quilters Guild and the city Gazebo project. Next to her family, her greatest love was painting. Her work is on display in several businesses and homes in Prague and throughout the United States. She wanted to be another Grandma Moses. Some of her paintings will be on display at her service. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one brother, one sister, and one daughter, Carol Jilge. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, David and Lynn Jilge of Prague; daughter and son-in-law,Olivia and Tom Reed of Prague; grandchildren, Amber Villines, Shawna Villines, Shannon Kupka, Todi Hale, Heather Layman, Sonya Adams; eight great-grandchildren; two step-great-great-grandchildren.
