Lois Wright

Lois Lavon Wright was born on April 28, 1921, in Chandler, OK, and departed this life on Sunday, May 15, 2011, in Stroud, OK, at the age of 90 years. Lois, the daughter of Raymond and Velma Orpha (Walker) Jones, was a life-long resident of Chandler. She graduated from Chandler High School in 1939. Lois married Carl L. Wright on November 9, 1940. She worked as a barber in Chandler for over thirty years and was a member of the Chandler First Baptist Church. Her parents, husband, one son in 1947, one brother, and 2 sisters-in-law preceded Lois in death. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Darrell Arterbery of Chandler, two granddaughters, Xandra 'Sissy' Goforth of Hydro, OK, Amanda Walker of Claremore, OK, one brother Bob Jones of Prague, OK, one sister and brother-in-law, Carol and John Parsons of Enid, OK, six great-grandchildren other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM, Wednesday, May 18, 2011, at the First Baptist Church, in Chandler, with Rev. Larry Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Park Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.
