Linda Love, 71, peacefully departed this life Saturday, November 30, 2013. She was born in Oklahoma City on November 3, 1942, to E.C. Love Jr. and Clara Love. Linda was a 1960 graduate and Salutatorian of her High School class in Chandler, Oklahoma. She attended Hollins College in Virginia, and Oklahoma University where she graduated in 1964 with a Liberal Arts degree in Romantic Languages of which she spoke four. Linda moved to Canyon, Texas, where she was editor of the Canyon newspaper. In 1966 she moved to Los Angeles where she became a speech writer for Bob Dornan, when he was elected to the United States House of Representatives. She moved to Washington, D.C. and continued as his speech writer and personal assistant. Linda returned to California where she continued writing and editing for other political candidates. Health concerns brought her back to Oklahoma City in 2010. She is survived by her sister, Mary Walkup; brother-in-law, Bruce Walkup; niece, Elena Claire Walkup; nephew, James Wade Walkup; and grand niece and nephews, Matthew Charness, Kimber, Jordan, and Corban Walkup. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler, Oklahoma.
