Linda Kay Reed

Linda Kay Reed, age 62, of Newalla, OK, was born on November 16, 1945 in Sayre, OK. She was the daughter of V. F. & Wilma Jean Lowry Schapka. She departed this life on Wednesday, September 10, 2008, in Newalla, OK. Linda graduated from Bethany High School in 1964. She worked as a clerk for many years at Tinker AFB, retiring in May, 2007. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, McLoud, OK. Linda enjoyed crossword puzzles, gardening and reading. Linda was preceded in death by her father and sister, LuAnn Schapka. Survivors include her son, Jeffrey Todd Reed, Newalla, OK; mother, Jean Schapka, Yukon, OK; sister & brother-in-law, Marva & Terry Spencer, Yukon, OK; brother & sister-in-law, Phillip & Rita Schapka, Yukon, OK and many other relatives and friends. Visitation just prior to the service will be from 9:00 AM to 9:50 AM, Saturday, September 13, 2008 at the First Baptist Church, McLoud, OK. Services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, September 13, 2008 at the First Baptist Church, McLoud, OK, with Rev. Ernest Graham, Rev. Bob Fowler and Rev. Bill Derrick officiating. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Oklahoma City, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith-Parks Funeral Service, Harrah, OK.
