Linda Jean (Smith) Taylor

Linda Jean Taylor was born on August 18, 1955, in Okemah, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Monday, September 14, 2009, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 54. Linda, the daughter of Ben J. and Bobbie (Lee) Smith, was a resident of Sapulpa. She married David Taylor on December 5, 1975 in Paden, Oklahoma. Linda was a homemaker and a member of the Bible Believers Pentecostal Church in Claremore, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Wesley and David Smith, and nephew, Derek Smith. Survivors include husband, David Taylor of the home; daughters and sons-in-law, Tabitha Taylor of Sapulpa, Melinda and Eric McDaniel of Tulsa, Rebecca and Adam Bishop of Ila, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Doug and Regina Smith of Prague; sisters and brothers-in-law, Delilah and Terry Morehead of Prague, Debbie and Allen Caton of Prague; Grandchildren, Andrew, Taylor, Hannah, and Emily McDaniel of Tulsa, Caleb and Abigail Bishop of Ila, GA. The Taylor family will receive friends at Parks Brothers Funeral Home in Prague on Wednesday, September 16, 2009 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Pallbearers for Linda Jean will be Jeff Moorehead, Tyler Smith, Jim Watts, Trevor Watts, Adam Bishop, and Eric McDaniel. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2009 at 10:00 AM, at Freewill Baptist Church in Paden with Rev. David Taylor officiating and Pastor Danny Wiggins assisting. Interment will follow at Paden Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
