Lilburn Loyd Pursley

Loyd Pursley was born on May 31, 1919, in Eola, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Wednesday, 3, 2003 in Prague, Oklahoma, at the age of 84. Loyd was the son of Noah Oscar and Grace Helena Selby Pursley. He married Orpha Ann Sumpter on December 22, 1972, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was a resident of Lincoln County for 13 years. His parents, 7 brothers and sisters, and 1 stepdaughter preceded Loyd in death. Survivors include his wife, Ann Pursley of the home; son, Lilburn Pursley, Jr. of Van Buren, AR; step-children, Jim Young of McAlester, OK, Bill Young of Eufaula, OK, George Young of Prague, OK, Mike Young of Eufaula, OK, Guy Young of Bison, KS, Kenneth Young of Choctaw, OK, Wanda Beristain of Richmond, TX, Faye Rohrick of Shawnee, OK, Vivian Workman of Oklahoma City, OK; 1 Brother; 2 sisters; and numerous grandchildren. Graveside service will be held on Monday, December 8, 2003 at 2:00 PM at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery in Oklahoma City, OK, with Chaplain Ray Wade officiating. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
