Lila Grace Bolen

Lila Grace Bolen was born on November 21, 1920, in Paden, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Thursday, June 3, 2011, in Stroud, Oklahoma, at the age of 89. Lila, the daughter of Clyde and Addie (Summers) Brown, was a resident of Stroud most of her life. She married Percy G. Bolen on December 9, 1939 in Chandler. He preceded her in death on May 2, 1976. Lila was a member of the Assembly of God and worked as a cook, a caretaker, and was a homemaker. Her parents and an infant daughter also preceded Lila in death. Survivors include, Sons and daughters-in-law, Percy and Marilyn Bolen of Stroud, James R. and Linda Bolen of Broken Arrow, Daughters and son-in-law, Nancy R. and Jim Burcham of New Castle, Mary Lou Spry of Stroud, Grandchildren, Charlie, Lynette, Mechelle, Tambren, Percy III, Mark, Billy Kevin, Christopher, Brandy, and Carlene, 16 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 6, 2011 at 10:00 AM, at the Assembly of God in Stroud with Rev. Jeromye Jackson officiating. Interment will follow at the Stroud Cemetery in Stroud. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud .
