Lila Clarice Ferguson Winters, age 81, of Harrah, OK, was born on December 11, 1924, in Macomb, OK. She was the daughter of J. Russell & Bertie Dibble Ferguson. She returned to her home in Glory on September 29, 2006, in Midwest City, OK. Lila was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Harrah for almost 75 years. She loved studying the Bible with her Peacemakers Sunday School department. She lived in the light of God?s Word Ephesians 5:8-10. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her. Among the many scriptures underlined in Lila?s Bible is Philippians 1:21, ?For me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.? Lila was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Audif Jackson Winters, Jr., her sisters, Hazel Johnson and Gwen Rogers, and brothers, Jack Ferguson and Joe Ferguson. She is survived by 2 sons & daughters-in-law, David & Gay Winters, Choctaw, OK, Joe Don & Diane Winters, Harrah, OK; 5 grandchildren, Cynthia Reber, Emily Sene, Audif Jackson Winters III, Julia Mayes, Andrew Winters; 5 great-grandchildren and many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who in return loved her dearly. Memorials may be made to the Baptist Children?s Home and Boys Ranch of Oklahoma. Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, October 3, 2006, at the First Baptist Church, Harrah, OK. Interment will follow at Memory Lane Cemetery, Harrah, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
