Letha Pearl Mcmurtry

Letha Pearl McMurtry was born June 6, 1930, in Sparks, Oklahoma, and departed this life on December 31, 2015, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 85 years. Letha was the daughter of Raymond David and Aline Hattie (Gawthorpe) Stewart. She was married to Charles Bruce McMurtry from 1951 to 1973. Letha worked as an executive secretary for many years and was a member of the Southern Hills United Methodist Church in Oklahoma City. Her parents, brother and one great grandson preceded Letha in death. Survivors include, one son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Diana McMurtry of Oklahoma City, two daughters and sons-in-law, Suzan and Bruce Haley of Lincoln, Nebraska, Linda McMurtry-Davis and Mark Davis of Oklahoma City, eight grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and long time companion Don Pitts. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, January 4, 2016, at the Southern Hills United Methodist Church in Oklahoma City. Burial will follow at 2:00 P.M. at White Dove Cemetery in Sparks, Oklahoma, with Rev. Peter Miller officiating. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler, Oklahoma.
