Lester LaurenceWhite was born on May 29, 1926, in Lula, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Monday, November 3, 2003 in Prague, Oklahoma, at the age of 77. Lester, the son of Laurence A. and Texas Underwood White, was a resident of Prague, Oklahoma, for 23 years. He married the former Wilma Davenport on September 15, 1972, in Harrah, Oklahoma. Lester was in the US Army, serving in Japan during WWII. He worked as a radar repairman in civil service. He was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church, a lifetime member of Master?s Men, and Helping Hands. His parents and three brothers preceded Lester in death. Survivors include his wife, Wilma White, Prague, OK; 3 Sons and daughters-in-law, Byron D. & Willean White, Meeker, OK, Loren & Silke White, Norman, OK, Darron White, Oklahoma City, OK; 2 stepsons and spouse, Darryl & Paula Beasley, Monroe, LA, Larry Beasley, Lone Grove, OK; 1 stepdaughter, Cheryl Crawford, Prague, OK; 1 brother & sister-in-law, James & Iva White, Broken Arrow, OK; 14 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 5, 2003, 10:00 AM, at the Freewill Baptist Church in Prague, Oklahoma, with Rev. Randall Miller officiating and Rev. James White assisting. Interment will follow at the Prague Cemetery in Prague, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
