Leslie Lynn Fipps

Leslie Lynn Fipps was born on May 4, 1986, in Ada, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Monday, November 1, 2010, in Seminole Medical Center, Oklahoma, at the age of 24. Leslie, the daughter of Kirk and Lora Lynn (Shivers) Fipps, was a life-long resident of Paden. She graduated from Paden High School with the class of 2004, earned an Associate's Degree from Seminole State, and was awarded a Bachelor's Degree in 2009 from East Central University. Leslie was an avid basketball player and a member of the First Baptist Church in Paden where she taught at Vacation Bible School. Her maternal grandparents, Harold and Carolyn Shivers, preceded Leslie in death. Survivors include parents, Kirk and Lora Fipps of the home; paternal grandparents, Sam and Verna Fipps of Paden; paternal great-grandmother, Wanda Adams of Seminole; maternal great-grandmother, Ella Mae Ellis of Seminole; sister, Holly Kristine Fipps of the home; companion, Scott Hand; other relatives and many friends. The Fipps family will receive friends at Parks Brothers Funeral Home on Thursday, November 4, 2010, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 5, 2010 at 2:00 PM, at the First Baptist Church in Paden with Rev. Terry Pittman officiating. Interment will follow at the Paden Cemetery.
