Leo R. Thompson

Leo R. Thompson, age 86, of Harrah, OK, was born on November 11, 1925, in Harrah, OK. He was the son of John Albert & Naomi (Macarty) Thompson. Leo went to be with the Lord Tuesday, May 8, 2012, in Harrah, OK. Leo graduated from Harrah High School. He proudly served in the U. S. Navy during WW II. Leo was a truck driver for many years, retiring from Lee Way Trucking Company. He was a member of the Pottawatomie Tribe and a Mason. He enjoyed quail hunting, woodworking, working out in the yard, taking care of his roses and going to ball games. Leo was a regular at the Harrah Senior Center and the Pottawatomie Center where he enjoyed playing pitch, dominoes and working on puzzles. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen and his parents. Survivors include 2 daughters & son-in-law, Cheri Stallings, Enid, OK, Toni & Chris Sears, Harrah, OK; son & daughter-in-law, William & Trudy Hoffman, Woodward, OK; brother & sister-in-law, Doyle & Leah Thompson, Harrah, OK; sister, Barbara Butler, Ripley, OK; 6 grandchildren, Jami Gates & Kirk, Kaylon Clymer & Tyler, Taylor Hoffman, Taitum Hoffman, Baylee Hoffman, Will Hoffman; 4 great-grandchildren, Gabby Lawson, Kali Lawson, Peyton Weeston, Hadley Gates many other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Friday, May 11, 2012, at Smith-Parks Funeral Service, 2039 N. Tim Holt Dr., Harrah, OK. Graveside services will be 10:00 AM, Saturday, May 12, 2012, at Memory Lane Cemetery, Harrah, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
