Lena Webster Strong

Lena Webster Strong, long-time, Davenport, Oklahoma, resident, was born on March 17, 1916, in Union, Arkansas, and departed this life on December 14, 2003, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 87 years. Lena was the daughter of Charles and Ella Parker Tackett. She married Floyd Webster in Chandler, Oklahoma, on February 15, 1933, and he preceded her in death in 1974, she then married Earl Strong in Davenport, on July 11, 1992, and he preceded her in death in 1999. Lena worked for the Curry Funeral Home, in Chandler, Oklahoma and was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Davenport, Oklahoma. Her parents, husbands, two brothers and three sisters preceded Lena in death. Survivors include, one daughter, Deloris Adams of Tulsa, OK; one sister, Pearl Clark of Stratford, OK; 5 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 17, 2003, at the First Church of the Nazarene in Davenport, Oklahoma. Burial will be held at the Davenport Cemetery in Davenport, with Rev. Allen McBroom officiating. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service of Chandler.
