Lavonne Marie Young

Lavonne Marie Young was born on January 16, 1937, in Goltry, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Tuesday, December 12, 2006, at her home in Chandler, Oklahoma at the age of 69. Lavonne was the daughter of Walter and Alvina Wedel Pekrul. She married Dwain Young on September 28, 1956, in Goltry, Oklahoma. Lavonne was an LPN, having worked at the Stroud Nursing Home and Shawnee Medical Center for many years. She was a member of the Horton Chapel Church of the Nazarene in Meeker. Her parents and one brother, Wilbur Pekrul; preceded Lavonne in death. Survivors include, Husband, Dwain Young of the home, Sons & daughter-in-law, David Young of Tulsa, OK, Marvin & Deana Young of Richardson, TX, Grandchildren, Adam, Jocelyn and Karyn, Sister, Doris Ewert of Omaha, NE, Other relatives and many friends, Expressions of sympathy may be made in Lavonnes name to the, Southern Nazarene University School of Nursing, in care of University Advancement, 6729 N.W. 39th.
