Lavonne K. Tull

January 14, 1929 — February 13, 2012

LaVonne K. Tull was born on January 14, 1929, in Prague, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Monday, February 13, 2012, in Edmond, Oklahoma, at the age of 83. LaVonne, the daughter of Luther Roy and Mary Agness (Simek) Burnside, was a resident of Prague. LaVonne spent her early years in Prague, moved to Norman as a teenager, and returned to Prague where she graduated from high school. She married Fred 'Pete' Tull on April 26, 1947 at her parent's home in Prague. They moved to Canada and started a drilling business. The business was sold in the 70s and Pete and Lavonne returned home to Prague. LaVonne was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Prague United Methodist Church. She enjoyed to sport of curling which she learned while in Canada and going to the Okemah Lake. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her granddaughter, Jenny. Her parents and one grandson preceded LaVonne in death. Survivors include, her husband of 64 years Pete Tull of the home, sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Linda Tull of Toronto, Ontario, Canada and Randy and Karla Tull of Piedmont; granddaughters, Becky Tull of British Columbia, Canada and Jenny Tull of Piedmont; sisters and brother-in-law, Irene Lacey of Midwest City and Lilly Ann and Jim Minick of Oklahoma City; niece, Pam Norwood and her husband, Rick of Midwest City; nephew, Garry Minick and wife, Isabelle of North Carolina; and many other family members and numerous friends.
