Laverne Long

Laverne Long was born on December 30, 1927, in Chandler, OK, and departed this life on Saturday, February 12, 2011, in Chandler, OK, at the age of 83 years. Laverne, the daughter of Andrew and Rose Mae (Hill) Long was a long-time resident of Chandler. She married Paul Flowers in 1943. Laverne worked as a waitress for many years and was of the Methodist Faith. Her parents, husband, one son, three brothers and three sister preceded Lavern in death. Survivors include one brother Wilbert Long of Oklahoma City, OK and one sister Patricia Lewis of Chandler, Oklahoma. Other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, February 18, 2011, at Douglas Community Center in Chandler with Rev. James Reed officiating. Burial will follow at Clearview Cemetery in Chandler. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler, OK.
