Laura C. Roberts

Laura Cora Roberts, Choctaw, OK, age 92, was born on October 16, 1918, in Atoka, OK. She was the daughter of Joseph Patrick & Nellie Evelyn (Nealy) Wallis. She departed this life on Monday, December 13, 2010, in Newalla, OK. Laura married Robert L. Roberts on July 22, 1939, in Hobart, OK. They were married for 32 years and raised six children. She resided in Choctaw and was a member of the First United Methodist Church for over 65 years. Laura was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Iva Juanelle Duncan, grandson, Richard Max Beardslee and great-grandson, Jarrod Hunter Buck. Survivors include 3 daughters & sons-in-law, Patricia & Jack Beardslee, Kingston, OK, Garnetta & Darrel Smith, Choctaw, OK, Wynona & Allen Vaught, Newalla, OK; 2 sons, Darrell Roberts, Newalla, OK, Charles Roberts, Choctaw, OK; 2 sisters, Verna Johnston, Moore, OK, Voise Fritz, Texhoma, OK; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Services will be 2:00 PM, Friday, December 17, 2010, at Choctaw United Methodist Church, Choctaw, OK. Interment will follow at Arlington Memory Gardens, Midwest City, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
