Larry Wayne Miller, a long time resident of Prague, passed away on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at the Norman Veterans Center, at the age of 75. Larry was born on November 14, 1947 in Prague, Oklahoma. He was the son of Fonzie and Lyla (Watkins) Miller. Larry grew up in Paden, attending Paden Public Schools. Larry and his family later moved to Oklahoma City, where Larry attended and graduated from Putnam City West High School.
Following high school, Larry proudly served his country by serving in the United States Army. While in the service, Larry served in Vietnam. Larry was very proud of military service. Later in life, Larry revisted Vietnam, where he returned to and toured many locations in Vietnam. He lived the last seven years of his life at the Norman Veterans Center.
Following his military service, Larry worked for many years for Safeway Grocery Stores. He worked his way up to management and worked at many stores throughout his career. Larry's favorite past time was watching baseball, especially his beloved New York Yankees. He also was a big fan of the Dallas Cowboys.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Charlotte Matthews.
Larry is survived by two sons, Fonzie Miller and his wife, Caryn and Mark Stanke and his wife, LaDana; two daughters, Cindi Wilson and her husband, Larry and Faith Cross and her husband, Kevin; nephews, Michael Matthews and Matt Matthews; niece, Holly Matthews Bailey and numerous grandchildren.
