Kristi Marie (Barrett) Moore

Kristi Marie (Barrett) Moore was born on August 17, 1969, in Seminole, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Saturday, June 5, 2010, in Amarillo, Texas, at the age of 40. Kristi, the daughter of Gary Lynn Barrett and Marilyn Dale (Page) Mahorich, was a resident of Amarillo. She was a graduate of Eldorado High School in Albuquerque, New Mexico with the class of 1987, received a Bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma Baptist University, and a Master’s degree in counseling from Sul Ross State University in Eagle Pass, Texas. Kristi, a 17-year educator, was a counselor at Tascosa High School in Amarillo, Texas. She had worked for the Amarillo Independent School District for 12 years during which time she also worked at James Fannin Middle School. Kristi was a volunteer with the Children’s Miracle Network, loved to ride motorcycles, and participated in team sports. Kristi was preceded in death by her infant son, Jake Barrett, and grandfathers, Irvin Page and Wayne Barrett. Survivors include father and step-mother, Gary Lynn and Lupe Barrett of Durango, CO; mother and step-father, Marilyn Dale and Larry Mahorich of Albuquerque, NM; sister, Sherri Barrett of Albuquerque, NM; grandparents, Doris and Bruce Huff of Prague, Loydale Page of Broken Arrow; aunts and uncles, John and Rowena Parker of Prague, Jack and Patti Page of Florida, Jim and Carol Page of Broken Arrow; numerous nieces and nephews and a multitude of friends. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 10, 2010 at 10:00 AM, at the Prague Cemetery in Prague with Rev. Scott Keneda officiating. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
