Kirby Kendell Barnette

Kirby Kendell 'Opie' Barnette age 58 of Prague, OK., left this life on May 28, 2018 in Prague, OK. He was born in Williams, AZ. on August 23, 1959 to Edward and Jan 'Dougherty' Barnette. “Opie,” as he liked to be called, worked for the City of Prague since October, 2013. Opie loved meeting people and just talking with them. Once you got to know him, you would never forget him. Working on the sanitation truck, he got to meet people all over town. He had many special friends along the route that made it a point to greet him each week when the truck came around. He enjoyed playing poker and golf. In 2014, he married his long time sweetheart, Judy Cooper, at their home in Prague. He was a member of Calvary Way Church. He is survived by his wife, Judy, of the home, one brother Eddie Barnette of North Carolina, and one sister Kelly Langley of Black Canyon City, AZ., Children; Tony Nicholson of OKC, Amber Streamland of Phoenix, AZ and Sarah Austin of Phoenix, AZ., Grandchildren; Ashlynn, Ayla, Xander, Max, Tyler, Ransom and Charlie, In-laws; Jim and Betty Greff, Jim and Marilyn Vaughn, Joe and Leslie Vaughn, Bill and Jeanne Kreuger along with many other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday June 7, 2018 at Calvary Way Church, 2525 West Main, in Prague, OK.
